Kik Messenger is the hot new app

Fifteen days after launching Kik Messenger had 1 million users. So what is Kik? Kik is basically a cross-platform BlackBerry Messenger (BBM). BlackBerry, Android, and iPhone users can all use Kik.

Kik has been so successful because its a good program. Messages appear in real-time. Notifications will inform users if a message has or has not been read. Also while not yet implemented, the Kik team has developed technology to allow users to stream through their program. Users could share pictures, videos, and music on the go.

In such a short time they have already reached the top of the major App stores. The future looks strong for Kik. But the question remains that if they grew to prominence so quickly, could they be replaced just as quickly? Let's wait and see
